The first man to leave a footprint on the Moon, Neil Armstrong died today at the age of 82.
His family gave a statement today saying he died of complications following a cardiovascular (heart) operation. The American astronaut was the first human being to set foot on the moon on the 20th, July, 1969. The US President Barrack Obama said "[he was] among the greatest of American heroes - not just of his time, but of all time."-US PRESIDENT Armstrong was the commander of Apollo 11, which landed on the moon in front of a live television audience of an estimated 500 million people. Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon told the BBC's Newshour that it was sad that Armstrong would not be able celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo mission in 2019. His family are said to be deeply upset, but praised him for being a "reluctant American hero". RIP Neil Armstrong 1930 - 2012 Lana Del Rey has released the music video for her latest single 'National Anthem'. The video fits the style of her previous 'Video Games' and 'Blue Jeans' videos - which feature cut up video clips and extra audio. National Anthem is taken from her album Born To Die.
It is rumoured that Lily Allen will make a return to music with another album after taking a two-year break from the music industry.
The newspaper Daily Star, reported Allen entering RAK Studios in London to record some new material, and says an LP could be released in 2013. A SOURCE told the newspaper "Lily has been in the studio trying different sounds and writing new tracks. She's not at a stage where she can start recording but the new album is definitely underway, and there's a chance it could be released early next year. " Lily took early retirement, after her second album It's Not Me, It's You in 2010 - setting up a designer boutique in Soho, London with her sister called 'Lucy in Disguise'.
