Vintage Books advises anyone with a book containing the printing error, to return it to the store where they brought it for an exchange of a corrected version. | The publishers of the latest Bridget Jones novel have had a bit of a Bridget moment themselves, when they accidentally misprinted a preview of David Jason's biography instead of the fiftysomethings diary. The publisher, Vintage Books confirmed that around 40 pages of the Mad About The Boy, which is the third installment in the Bridget Jones' Diary series, were misprints of Sir David Jason's autobiography, My Life, which was also published today. A spokesperson for the publishing house said "A printing error has been detected in some of the very early copies of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy" - and the error could be down to "Super Thursday", a term known to publishers for it's busiest time of year, when books are published in time for the Christmas market. Other books published today included autobiographies by Jennifer Saunders, Mo Farah and John Bishop. But, fans will be saddened to hear that this is the last in the Bridget Jones series, and with the killing off of a main character in the books plot line, it's sure to have everyone glued to the page. |
